We are delighted to announce that the Scottish Student Sport Conference 2019 will be hosted by our friends in the West, in one of Scotland’s newest sporting facilities, the University of Strathclyde!
The Conference will see a variety of breakout sessions and workshops, a number of guest speakers, and an opportunity for delegates to network and catch up amongst colleagues.
There will be many opportunities to stay active across the two days including the infamous group run, inspired by athletes of old, on the second day.
To register for Conference we ask that you follow the link below to our Azolve system where you will be asked to enter a few details.
Don’t worry, it is easier than it sounds.
Delegate Day Rate: £65
Registration will close on Wednesday 5th June

‘Future Proofing Through the Lens of Sport’ with Mark Stevenson
Mark Stevenson is one of the world’s most respected thinkers on technology and societal trends – helping you see where the world is going – and how to adapt. He is the author of two best selling books on the future and innovation, An Optimist’s Tour of the Future and the award-winning We Do Things Differently: stories from the frontline of the future, and a ongoing strategic advisor to organisations as diverse as Medicines Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders), the GSMA and Virgin.
From Student Sport to Student Support – We all have a part to play.
Drawing from his 18 years of experience as a Director of Sport, current BUCS Inclusion Chair & Director of Student Life at Robert Gordon University, Filippo Antoniazzi, will give an insight into the daily challenges facing student services. Filippo will identify that the unique manner in which university and college sports departments work in genuine partnership with students is the future in building communities and supporting our students.
Initiations and ‘lad’ behaviour continues to cause challenges in student sport. We will hear more about the CHANGES intervention, which has had tremendous success south of the border.
Sit back and relax – enjoy short films capturing the best of student sport projects and initiatives. There will be audience participation to crown the Best Picture.
