We are very excited to announce that the SSS Professional Exchange Week will begin on Monday 26th November 2012. The week is an opportunity to build capacity within the sector via the sharing of effective and innovative practice. The exchange can involve the sharing of materials or be as informal as a quick chat regarding a problematic issue. A variety of experts throughout the sector have volunteered their time to inform and assist colleagues in the following areas:
This is not meant to be an exhaustive list so if there is not something that meets your needs do not despair.
Click here to see a full list of experts and specialist areas.
We would ask that you approach an expert within appropriate guidelines; please contact the person by e-mail in the first instance to provide them the opportunity to prepare, provide as much information about your information request as you can and offer an e-mail and a phone number as a means of being contacted. Please be aware that the ‘experts’ are providing their time and their knowledge for no material gain so please be flexible and respectful in your dealings with them and please be mindful of the parameters of the exchange week. It will be up to the ‘experts’ as individuals if they wish to remain in contact following the exchange.
Finally, please also be aware of the various Special Interest Groups that the SSS Professional Development Committee (PDC) is responsible for. Please consider and feedback what other CPD and best practice PDC can provide for the sector within, and beyond, the Professional Exchange Week.
