Are you looking for an alternative experience in sport? Keen to volunteer in sport and gain some valuable experience while having fun and forming relationships?

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to support the development of boccia in the East of Scotland (mainly Edinburgh, however further opportunities available in Lothian area).

What is boccia?
Boccia is a Paralympic sport, designed for players with a physical disability and is played widely across the world. Follow the link below for an overview of the sport –  https://www.scottishdisabilitysport.com/boccia-home/

Is this opportunity for you?
Yes! No experience of the sport, working with individuals with a disability or coaching experience is required, although it would be useful. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are open to learn and develop new skills within sport. Training and ongoing support will be provided if commitment to the role is displayed.

All committed volunteers will be offered boccia specific coach training and disability inclusion training.
