Cross-country

‘I really regret that run.  Said no one.  Ever’

Who plays? There are currently 12 Universities and Colleges participating in our cross-country programme.

What is there? Scottish Students Cross Country Championships in early December – both individual and team. The Scottish Universities Team is subsequently selected to compete against some of the best runners in the world in the televised Great Edinburgh Cross Country, in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh. Additionally, there are annual fixtures hosted by Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Heriot-Watt Universities. In addition, many Institutions provide running and jogging groups on a non-competitive basis, to promote physical activity and keep fit in partnership with jogscotland.

When does all this happen? All the events are generally on the weekends and spaced throughout the course of the academic year.
