Scottish Student Sport work in close partnership with Lacrosse Scotland to provide and promote Lacrosse across the student network.

Each year, SSS host a Lacrosse Championships to find the overall Scottish Champions.

SSS also host a Women’s Freshers’ Tournament to provide a stepping stone for new female players.

You also can’t forget our SS Lacrosse National Squad teams who compete against Home Nation teams during the year!

Women’s Beginner’s Tournament


We are delighted to announce that the Women’s Beginners’ Freshers’ Tournament is back for another year! The tournament will span three weekends:

17th February     University of St Andrews      Registration time: 1130

10th March     University of Stirling                   Registration time: 1000

21th March     University of Glasgow                 Registration time: 1100

The 2017-18 season saw the first ever tournament for purely female beginners in Lacrosse. 4 teams entered and competed across 3 different venues to fight for the final trophy. All teams improved over the tournament however there can only be one winner…congratulations University of Stirling! Full results can be found HERE.

National Squad representation

Details for nominations for the National Squad programme will be detailed here in due course.

It is expected that there will be trials held at the University of Dundee over the weekend of October 21st/22nd.
