Key Information
In time for the start of the 2021/22 academic year, we have revamped and relaunched our Development Toolkit!
To help prepare institutions for the eagerly awaited return to play for student sport, the Development Toolkit is designed to give our members a framework for delivering their best possible sport and physical activity offering.
The new format is much more user-friendly, engaging and easily adaptable for each institution – allowing them to set, manage and achieve their own individual objectives and goals for the year.
What is the Development Toolkit?
The Development Toolkit is a self-assessment guidance tool used to support the development of sport and physical activity within SSS members. Through support from our Development Team, members can develop and share their long term vision, create SMART goals and access SSS projects and programmes to support their work.
This new format allows elected students and staff to create short, medium and long-term goals to utilise SSS projects and resources in working toward their own objectives. Using SMART goals to plan for the year makes it simple to set out the process and timeline for achieving targets.
What is the purpose of the Development Toolkit?
- Create more opportunities for students to take part in sport and physical activity
- Give institutions a framework to structure their sport and physical activity offering with the aim of making their programmes more sustainable and inclusive for everyone.
- A toolkit that is designed to be worked through year-on-year to ensure we continue to offer innovative new ways of bettering the student experience.
