Basketball 3v3 Festival

SS Basketball are delighted to bring in a brand new event this year! The SS Basketball 3v3 Festival is a fun event designed to build on the popularity see in in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. 3v3 is a variation of basketball played three-a-side, with one backboard and in a half-court setup, so great for all levels of ability.
Date: 13th January 2024
Venue: ISE, Dundee
Registration: TBC, but likely 9:15am (Women) & 1:15pm (Men)
Timetable: The draw will be released after entries close, but the Women’s festival will likely begin at 10am and the Men’s will likely begin at 2pm
Equipment/Match Organisation:
- Teams should be in institution-branded playing kit
- Teams will consist of 4 players in total, 3 on court and 1 sub
- 10-minute games with running clock
- Each game will be refereed
Medals: Medal presentations will likely take place at the conclusion of the women’s tournament and at the conclusion of the men’s tournament
Eligibility: All players involved must be currently matriculated and able to show student cards upon request as per the SSS Event Terms and Conditions. Clubs can only enter 1 Men’s team and 1 Women’s team due to capacity. There are 8 Men’s team spaces and 8 Women’s team spaces open in total.

Entry Deadline: Entries are not yet live on the SSS Playwaze system but all players will need to be signed up to the system (see our ‘How To’ Guide)
Payment: You can pay by card using this system. If you wish to request support from your Sports Union to cover the cost of your attendance, please click ‘Defer Payment’ and this will send them an invoice request. PLEASE NOTE – you should talk to your Sports Union about financial support BEFORE you sign-up to this event
Wheelchair Basketball: There will be time for you to try wheelchair basketball at the festival as well, ahead of our Wheelchair Basketball Festival in February 2024! Stay tuned for more information on this.
