18th March 2023
Recreational Netball Festival
Saints Sport, University Park, St Leonard’s Rd, St Andrews, KY16 9DY

SS Netball are delighted to bring back the HUGLEY POPULAR Recreational Festival for non-BUCS teams.
This will be a fun, OUTDOOR event with short matches to get everyone playing and enjoying the sport.
We’re delighted this event will be umpired by umpires going through their C-level assessment too, though do encourage teams to bring an umpire with them in case we need to call upon them.
Timings: Registration 0900 with first matches beginning at 0930. The event will finish no later than 1800. Full timetable is included in our Pre-Event Information
Eligibility: This event is for recreational players i.e. non-BUCS teams. All players involved must be currently matriculated and able to show student cards upon request. If you are not part of a student club, you will need to pay to join your Sports Union in order to be covered by insurance.
Team Entry: Please pay to enter your ONE team on the system HERE, then encourage your players to sign up to SSS Playwaze and join the team, so we know who to expect (see below). Each team is allowed up to 12 players on their team sheet.
If you wish to enter more than one team, please let the Netball Chair know and we will operate a waiting list to balance numbers
Player Entry: Players need to sign up to the SSS Playwaze system individually so we have a record of them on the team sheet. They should follow the steps in this How To Guide to sign up, then join the netball community before finding their team and joining.
Entry Cost: £30 per team (£20 entry fee and £10 donation to St Andrews Zambia Project) = less than £5 per player for a 7-person team – even cheaper if you have a full team of 12!
Payment: You will be able to pay by card on this system. If you wish to request support from your Sports Union to cover the cost of your attendance, please click ‘Defer Payment’ and this will send them an invoice request. PLEASE NOTE – you should talk to your Sports Union about financial support BEFORE you sign-up to this event
Entry Deadline: Entries are now closed
Pre-Event Information: Please click HERE for all information needed ahead of the festival
Results: Please click HERE to follow the results online! Well done to our medallists
Equipment: Please bring warm up balls and a match ball with you. Please bring a set of bibs per team. Please wear shoes that our suitable for playing on an OUTDOOR court.
Umpires: Please note that this event will be used as an opportunity to assess level C umpires between 0930 and 1430. Please encourage any C umpires requiring assessment to sign up to the course HERE!
We ask that teams bring someone with a C umpiring licence with them too for any matches that take place beyond 1430, please, otherwise the event won’t be able to run
Zambia Fundraising: St Andrews will be looking to raise money alongside this event for their Zambia project. Please bring cash with you to be able to participate in the fun extras they will have alongside!
