Virtual Firth of Forth
We’re going online!

We have been working with the RYA to provide racing and training for Scottish Student Yachting despite COVID-19 setbacks. Due to the current pandemic, we have had to move our annual keel-boating event SSS Firth of Forth online!
Venue: Online (Zoom)
Date: Wednesday 18th November 2020
Time: 1900-2030
Cost: FREE
Format:
a) a 1.5 hour coached session on Zoom with Ramsay Leuchars, head coach for the Summer Keelboat Academies at Port Edgar.
b) Followed by a competitive online racing event with Virtual Regatta Inshore!

Coaching:
The online Coaching session will cover:
– What yacht racing is all about?
– How is yacht-racing different from dinghy sailing?
– How a yacht racing event works.
– Typical crew management and roles.
– What yacht racing is all about?

– How a yacht racing event works.
– Typical crew management and roles.
A Zoom link will be sent out to those who sign up via the Google Form prior to the start of the event
Virtual Regatta:
- In order to participate in the subsequent racing you will need to sign up to Virtual Regatta Inshore.
Once on Virtual Regatta you can try out the sailing school taster exercises to familiarise yourself with the controls! - Please sign up to the event using the Google form link and also let your club Yachting Captains know.
