April Volunteer of the Month

Who has been chosen as our April Volunteer of the month?

Chris Gray has been the Scottish Student Rifle Chair throughout the 16/17 and has done an incredible job. This year’s programme has run smoothly offering a great experience to the student shooters from across the country.

Chris has played a key role in developing rifle both at The University of Edinburgh, where he was recognised for his volunteering, and Scottish Student Rifle. Chris has made a huge impact to the development of student rifle including supporting the partnership SSS have with Scottish Target Shooting.

This year Chris has expanded and developed the programme organising an elite coaching session with Donald McIntosh, Head Rifle Coach with GB Shooting and Performance Director for Scotland which was of great value to the students. Chris was also key in organising a meeting with the Lothian Police regarding changes in firearms law as well as coordinating the delivery of a Range Instructor Course to up-skill students.

Chris’s commitment, dedication and professionalism during his reign as the SS Rifle Chair has been nothing short of fantastic.

We are delighted to award Chris April’s volunteer of the month! Congratulations!
