Women’s Sport Week – A Profile on Gemma Batty

On day 6 of our Women’s Sport Week are are very pleased to feature Stirling University’s Gemma Batty. Earlier this year, University of Stirling golf scholar Gemma Batty, was been crowned English women’s open champion match play champion.
It’s the latest in a string of victories for the 22-year-old business and sport student who bear Cloe Frankish in the final at Holme Hall in Lincolnshire.
Gemma’s other recent successes include lifting the Slovenian International Ladies Amateur Championship title in May and helping the University become British Universities and Colleges Sport team match play and stroke play champions.
Stirling – Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence – was the first university in the UK to offer golf scholarships with R&A and has supported more than 180 student golfing athletes to date
