SSS is delighted to announce that we have agreed on a partnership with Burnside First Aid Events Ltd, who will provide medical support for our upcoming sports competitions. The agreement will be in place from now until the end of the 2022-23 academic year, with the potential for a one-year extension.

We are excited to partner with Burnside First Aid and are working closely with them to ensure we have the right medical provisions in place for the up and coming season. Student safety is our priority at SSS and is pleased to be working with a company that shares our ambitions and values.

Director of Burnside First Aid Events Ltd, Jonathan Peffers (pictured below), commented:

“This is an exciting time for Burnside First Aid Events Ltd. We look forward to working with Scottish Student Sport by providing our services of event first aid covering and delivering high-quality training for their staff and volunteers over the next 2 years.”

As well as providing medical cover at SSS sports events, Burnside First Aid will be supporting SSS by hosting training courses designed to teach both students and staff the basics of first aid in sport.

SSS Competitions Coordinator, Jessica Barrows (also pictured below), commented:

“To partner with a supplier who fully supports student sport and the values of SSS is incredibly exciting. We look forward to working with Burnside who we trust will ensure our students feel safe at our events and will treat them professionally. Continuing our mission to upskill our key volunteers with First Aid Training also remains very close to our hearts, reinforced by the images from Euro 2020 which have reminded the world of the importance of knowing how, and when, to act.”

SSS welcomes Burnside Events First Aid Ltd. to the family and values their support as we return to competition this year.
