SSS Partner With Playwaze
We are taking our digital game to the next level! We are delighted to have partnered with Playwaze for the upcoming 2021/22 season. Here is all you need to know about the new system!
Scottish Student Sport (SSS) is excited to announce a new partnership with the sports technology platform Playwaze to host our sporting and physical activity programme from the 2021-2022 season onwards. This move will help streamline our competition entry system to align with BUCS (via BUCSPlay) as well as other Scottish Governing Body partners such as Scottish Handball Association and Scottish Rowing.
Why use Playwaze?
The aim is to make finding fixtures, results and signing up for events as easy as possible for students and our members! With SSS setting up a hub within the Playwaze system, students will be able to access their entry and participation records for all of their activities, through the one Playwaze account. This is the first time the Scottish student network will have the opportunity to use an app for monitoring their SSS involvement – allowing students/staff to engage from anywhere be it at home, the pitch, or the team bus.
Parents, coaches, and other supporters will also be able to access the SSS Playwaze community for full event and match details, as well as results, so they can be part of the action too.
How does it work?
The new activity system will keep the same features as SSS’ previous platform, allowing students to pay directly online or via their Sports Union. Student leaders will also have the opportunity to take charge of matchday logistics around their teams/clubs’ involvement, developing stronger levels of responsibility and communication within the student sector. Once fully implemented, the system will also enable students to track their results year on year – providing a map of their student sport journey and building memories for a lifetime.
When does it start?
The new SSS Playwaze system will be launching in September, and with the opportunity for brand new ‘Active Health’ challenges fun ways to get involved, it’s an app to get excited for.
Stay tuned across our social media channels for the official launch and get ready for a new and improved year of Scottish student sporting activity!BACK TO LIST
