Mixed Ultimate Frisbee Indoor Championships

A total of eight institutions descended on Oriam Performance Centre on 28^th-29^th October 2017 to form an asto

Great play was shown by all, with the top three podium positions going to: Glasgow 1, Edinburgh 1 and Strathclyde 1. The Spirit of the Game award was won by Stirling 1 for their exemplary sporting attitude over the weekend.

Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Indoor Championships

The Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility hosted the Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Indoor Championships on 11^th/12^th November. 21 teams battled it out over a highly competitive weekend.

Strathclyde once again reached the podium, this time their Men’s 1^st team clinching the Gold, with Dundee 1 and Glasgow 1 taking the silver and bronze, respectively. Despite not making the podium, Edinburgh this time, the Men’s 1^st team were rewarded for their sportsmanship with the Spirit of the Game award.

Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Indoor Championships

Just a week after the Men’s success, the Women took on the indoor challenge at Aberdeen Sports Village. 15 teams-strong, the weekend was a highly contested event with the overall winners being Edinburgh 1.

Aberdeen made it to the podium for the first time as their Women’s 1^st team clinched bronze and Strathclyde made it a clean sweep of podium positions as their Women’s 1^st team took the silver. Congratulations to Aberdeen for winning the Spirit of the Game award.

With such excellent skill displayed across all tournaments, we are all eagerly anticipating the performances at the upcoming National tournaments: Mixed on 25^th and 26^th November, Nottingham; Men’s and Women’s in February 2018, Glasgow.
