Key Information
Triathlon is a multi-discipline sport consisting of swimming, cycling and running.
Triathlon is growing in popularity amongst the student population with more student clubs affiliating to Triathlon Scotland each year and the number of student specific events being hosted growing year on year.
The SSS Triathlon series is made up of 3 events: an Aquathlon, a Duathlon and a Triathlon.
The aquathlon usually takes place in October and the Duathlon and Triathlon Take place in March/April. Currently, the Aquathlon and Duathlon take place in Stirling and the Triathlon takes place in Cupar, Fife. All races follow Triathlon Scotland Rules.

Meet your Sports Chair
Ruaraidh Wells
Ruaraidh is now into his second year in the role as Triathlon Chair, joining the SSS team of volunteers in September 2019.
Ruaraidh studied Chemistry at the University of Glasgow and began us Triathlon career back in 2015. Since then he has competed in over 15 events, including numerous podium finishes at the Arran Man Standard Distance Race.
He has also completed a half ironman!
